Skyrim quick menu bind 2 items8/9/2023 And keep in mind that some things I've tried just don't work for no known reason. If there is anything you can't map directly with that tool, you will need to edit the file by hand afterwards. And as long as you have mapped what you want the 'a' buttons to be to the control sticks instead, you should be good to go. Use the bindings that the tool generates for controlmapvr.txt instead of my mod. Third, you can use this graphical tool to come up with your own custom bindings, keeping in mind the above two ideas: That is because the SteamVR bindings map the real 'A' buttons to pretend stick-clicks. Second, you want to avoid binding anything to 'A' or 'X' and instead map those things onto the stick clicks. So if you do edit that file by hand, you need to change the oculus touch columns. It can be confusing to edit it by hand, but there is a way to do it in a more intuitive fashion.įirst, the Index controllers in this case are pretending to be Oculus Touch controllers. You want to leave the SteamVR controller bindings to be the ones I uploaded and edit your controlmapvr.txt file. 1/20 times I am able to make a shout by clicking all 3 at once, but it is highly inconsistent and annoying, definitely not playable like this. So I am not able to figure out how to just grab single items from foreign inventories without grabbing everything, I can't use any of my shouts, I am constantly sheathing and unsheathing my weapons, whenever I use the jump I am inadvertently activating the smooth/snap turning which I hate, I am unable to grab single items from any inventories, and I can't consistently activate my sprint as needed due to shitty sticks.īasically my question is, if I go into the custom bindings for skyrim which has the A button fix binding, will I be able to change some things in there to suit my needs without breaking the mod/fix? And if so then what should I NOT change in order to not fuck up the mod/fix?ĮDIT: So I am able to randomly activate my shout sometimes by button mashing the grip, trigger, and right thumb stick click in some random order. Right A button: Pick up items and everything else listed for left A button. Right B Button: Magic, Items, Skills, menu It also allows me to drop or transfer single items in my inventory. Right middle click: I was able to activate my shouts a couple times and it has not worked since. Movement to the top: Jump (weird, but manageable) Horizontal movement: snap and smooth turning (I hate snap and smooth turning and I'd rather just disable this and turn on my own in my room) Left A button: selection button in inventory, however if I am looking at an enemy, ally, chest, or any foreign inventory which is not my own it acts as a take allĪctivating Grip: pops up favorites menu and acts as the "back" option in menus Left B Button: Settings and mission logs menu (perfect) Left Trigger: Left weapon activation (Perfect) Left middle click: Single item inventory drop Now this would be fine if I could do it consistently, but I can not due to the shitty sticks that have been talked to death on this subbreddit. Left stick: Movement and menu navigation (perfect) Here are the current bindings as they stand.Īctivating grip: Sheathes and unsheathes weapons (I am missclicking all the time from just grabbing my controller to tightly in a fight and sheathing my weapon which is the last thing I want to do. I just hate how most buttons are binded, they make no sense to me and some I can't even find.
